No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

Cancer: A Story From The Sidelines
My story is not that different from many of you all. Sure, I heard about cancer for years—who hasn’t? Like many before me, I became all too aware of its crippling effects when my Father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. We lost my Dad in 2004. I felt helpless. It hurt and still does. I was convinced, as I watched from the sidelines, that cancer won.
I started bike riding in 2007. I kept finding out about family members and friends who had cancer or were fighting cancer. I wanted to do more, get involved, help out in any way I could. I wanted to get off the sidelines. In 2009 I participated in my first organized bike ride, Philly’s LIVESTRONG Challenge. I rode in honor of all who survived and those that fought the good fight. I felt stronger, energized, driven. On that day we all helped and cancer lost.
The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults has provided me many opportunities over the years to use my pedal power and free time for good. I am honored to have been selected as a member of the Team Fight’s Keys to Keys Cycling Team for 2014. On April 4th – 13th we will embark on an amazing journey biking from Baltimore, MD to Key West, FL to raise money and awareness. This is an amazing organization that keeps me off the sidelines and in the fight!
I’m hoping to raise $6,000. So, I need your help. You can give online, just follow the link below to visit my personal fundraising web page and make a donation. Your contribution is tax deductible. I cannot thank you enough for your time and consideration. Your generosity is welcomed more than you may ever know. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on the progress I make during my training, fundraising, and of course the 2014 Keys to Keys Bike Ride.
Love you all,
